Our preliminary task was to shoot a short scene with an DV camera, up to a minutes worth of footage. We had to use  different camera shots to get a use of how to use the camera appropriately. We then had to use Final Cut Express to edit the footage so that it would be created as we wanted it by cutting out the mistakes and to allow the editing to be fast or slow. The preliminary task set wasn't found too difficult to do, the filming was quite simple but the editing at first was a bit difficult but once we got the hang of it it came out being quite simple.
